MOCA: The Only Artist-Founded Museum in Los Angeles

Established in 1979, MOCA is the only artist-founded museum in Los Angeles. The museum is dedicated to collecting and exhibiting contemporary art, and its collection includes works by some of the most important artists of the 20th and 21st centuries.
Visiting MOCA
MOCA has two locations in Los Angeles: the Grand Avenue location in Downtown Los Angeles and the Geffen Contemporary location in Little Tokyo. The Grand Avenue location is the museum's main building, and it houses the majority of the collection. The Geffen Contemporary location is a smaller space that hosts temporary exhibitions.
Admission to MOCA is $15 for adults, $10 for seniors and students, and free for children under 12. The museum is open Tuesday through Sunday from 11am to 5pm.
